Start Monitoring FreeLive browser testing involves us launching a browser for you on a test runner VM and you manually interacting with it live. Automation plans allow you to automate this testing using Selenium, Puppeteer, or Playwright while the browser runs on a test runner VM.
The VM or container in which we launch the browser for your test can either be hosted by Testable or on your own infrastructure. If you self-host you can either link your cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) account so that we can launch a single use VM for your test or maintain one or more test runner Docker containers for your tests.
Test duration is the total time your test scenario is running on test runners. This does not include any start up, provisioning, or post-test processing time. For performance testing plans, the minimum duration is 15 minutes and after that it is rounded to the nearest minute. Also note that for some scenario types there is a multiplier (1 Playwright or Puppeteer VU = 5 billed VUs, 1 Selenium VU = 10 billed VUs). VUHs = VUs * test duration * scenario type multiplier. For example 10 JMeter VUs for 30 minutes is 5 VUH (10 VUs * 0.5 hours = 5 VUH). A 1 Playwright VU test for 10 minutes is 1.25 VUH (1 VU * 0.25 hours * 5 Playwright multiplier). Note that for browser testing plans and monitor runs the minimum duration is 5 minutes.
Yes. This applies for any plan that includes a monthly or annual allocation (e.g. 7.5k virtual user hours, 10k monitor runs, etc). Any unused quantity will rollover for one additional billing period (monthly or yearly depending on the plan). So for example if you have a monthly plan that includes 7.5k VUHs and you only use 1k this month, 6.5k will rollover to next month and get used up first. If you still haven't used those VUHs at the end of next month they will expire.

Each VU gets a certain amount of compute while your test is running depending on the tool used to write the test. You can configure a boost if you need more. For example you can request that every VU be allocated 4x the normal resources. For billing purposes each VU in this case would count as 4 VUs. In the other direction, for simple tests you can allocate each VU less resources (e.g. 0.5x the normal resources; 1 VU = 0.5 billed VUs).

For cloud subscriptions, you can cancel at any time via the Org Management menu. Once the current billing period is over your account will be downgraded and you will not be billed again.

The Free plan includes 50 monitors and does not support additional monitors. Paid plans include the listed number of monitors and support additional monitors at the listed per-monitor price.
Ping, Port, and HTTP monitors have no monthly execution cap on every plan; they can run as often as the plan's minimum interval allows. On Free, that minimum interval is five minutes. These basic executions do not consume the separate 100-run allowance, which applies only to advanced scripted and AI-generated monitors. Paid plans also include unlimited heartbeat monitoring.
The allowance applies only to advanced scripted and AI-generated monitors, not Ping, Port, or HTTP. One monitor run covers one execution of a network-request-level tool: Postman, Node.js, JMeter, Gatling, or Locust. Browser executions use a multiplier: each Playwright or Puppeteer execution counts as 5 monitor runs, and each Selenium execution counts as 10 monitor runs. AI-generated browser checks use Playwright and therefore count as 5 monitor runs per execution.
Free is designed for broad basic uptime coverage with unlimited Ping, Port, and HTTP executions at a five-minute minimum interval. Solo adds one-minute intervals, heartbeats, location choice, more scripted or AI-generated runs, SSL/domain checks, and longer retention, and supports additional monitors at the listed price. For Free organizations with broader coverage, Team includes 100 monitors and may be the better paid upgrade.
Location choice is available on paid plans. Paid customers can choose monitor location(s) using our public runners, and eligible plans can use self-hosted sources for checks from private networks or infrastructure they control. The Free plan uses its assigned location.
The Free plan includes AI scenarios and in-app AI Conversations with $1 in tokens per month, but does not support additional AI tokens. Paid Monitoring plans include larger monthly AI token credits, with additional AI tokens available at cost.
